New Custom Motorcycles
Award-winning two-stroke showbikes designed and
built by the craftsmen at Moto Carrera
While I'll admit, I like lots of different
motorcycle designs, I believe that the true essence of the motorcycle is the
racebike, be it a roadracer, dragster, motocrosser, or dirt tracker - light, lean, potent. In fact, our name, Moto Carrera, means racebike in spanish. I have
been building and racing 2-stroke motocross and road racing motorcycles since 1972. I have learned
what I know from GP & national-winning racers and factory mechanics.
Inspired by the development of some of the most exotic race machines in the
last 3 decades, I have observed the formulas and philosophies of some of the
great, as well as the very best. This competition background is the basis
for all of our designs, from components like our rearset controls, to our
award-winning motorcycles.
Our philosophy is simple; to offer the most serious, show-caliber, sport motorcycle
package possible, while maintaining practicality, and
dependability. Optimum function, clean, sano looks. From road racer-replica canyon racers to our famous street
trackers, we build reliable show bikes that look, handle and perform like
the factory race bikes they replicate. For instance, we don't
like the idea of turn signals hanging off the side of a street tracker. For this
reason, we go out of our way to use pre-'73 chassis wherever
possible. While we respect fast old Triumphs and XR750 Harleys, no
custom bike on the market, has the power to weight ratio of our two-stroke Del
Mar Special, or our awesome 300lb/105hp Kawasaki Triple Tracker. Intimidating to many
motorcyclists, rather intoxicating to the true 2-stroke performance enthusiast,
our machines definitely aren't for everyone. If you think you're
hooked on raw, spine-tingling performance like we are, we'll feed your
addiction with the bike of your dreams.

Street
Trackers |
|
Street-legal dirt track replicas |
The street tracker represents the
purest form of american styling, the dirt track racer. The street
tracker style is defined by wide 19" dirt track tires, high, swept
back bars, and pipes permitting a radical left-side slide. |
 |
The award-winning Del Mar Special is the
ultimate street tracker on the market. It is light, nimble, and blistering-fast.
A street-legal, two-stroke dirt tracker. Nostalgic American
dirt track styling,
coupled with ripping, Japanese two-stroke performance. At
65rwhp / 270lbs it has the power-weight ratio of an XR750.

Yamaha 350cc
2-strokes were just as fast as the big BSA's, Triumphs & Harley's in the
early '70's, yet they weren't allowed in the same class. |

Radical,
sick, awesome! These were the adjectives we heard from the crowd when our
H2 Triple Tracker Special was unveiled at last year's 2-stroke
extravaganza. At 300 lbs wet/105hp, it is an unmatched package
of styling & performance. A replica of the tire shredding
H2R-powered dirt trackers of the early '70's. |

Cafe Racers/Street Fighters |

Street-legal 2-stroke road racers
born & bred in the canyons of
so. California |
The cafe racer style began in the mid-'50's with
Euro-chic, sport bike enthusiasts racing from pub to pub. It has
evolved with technology and by region, but the essence of this style
is low handlebars, rearset controls and a road race-style
seat. |

The venerable
RD350/400 canyon racer is truly a high-performance icon of the '70's
& '80's. With more useable power, better suspension, and better
rubber, they are now faster and more fun than ever. Their legendary mystique gets it's
owner more attention and respect amongst riders than any machine
under 50 grand. Sincere envy! We can build one to your specifications, or you can order one of our specials. |
