Specially built for our favorite beer truck driver, super-enthusiast, Pat Shaw of Eagle Rock, CA. by our maestro Steve Fuentes, and our new tech, fabrication wizard Gary Hull. Detailing was done by veteran tech Mainor Quesada. As you can imagine, we're all very proud of this masterpiece.

And it runs even better than it looks! The fully detailed RD350 engine features our ferocious stageII porting, head work, Mikuni TM32 flatslide carbs, RZ reed cages, boost bottle, hi-volt coils, and our famous Millennium GP pipes. Moto Carrera GP rearsets handle the controls.

A special thanks to Pat for being so cool and patient
throughout the build. Pat always brought everyone pizza & beverages
when visiting, which was quite often. Man, our customers are absolutely
the best in the world!
Speaking of the best, the stunning, metallic tangerine & cream paint was done by painter to the stars, Boris Landoff of California Cycle Designs in Newport Beach. He ditched the plastic R5 tank badges & laid out the bitchen, old-school scheme. As always, truly gorgeous stuff! |

Check this out!
The bike leans onto a super-trick, removable sidestand, to allow the pipes to tuck much closer under the bike for maximum cornering clearance and cleaner look. |

This quickly detachable stand was designed by our new fabricator, Gary Hull and securely attaches to the passenger peg bracket with a pin attached to a cable.

In a second you can detach it & carry it in your back pack, tank bag, or just leave it in the driveway! Gone is the unsightly stock sidestand that never wants to fold right with pipes. Slick!

Bike rolls on 2.5 x18 Excel rims with stainless steel, 8ga Buchanans spokes, shod with sticky Avon Super Venom tires. We used the lighter, 520 size, DID x-ring chain & aluminum Sprocket Specialists sprockets to deliver the power. Progressive 14 series shocks and Progressive fork springs handle the suspension duties.

For a tailpiece Pat opted for our popular Laguna fiberglass seat with RD400 tail light tucked in tight. An excellent choice! Pete's Upholstery (since 1965) located down the street did a beautiful job on the seat. We'll be using them a lot more in the future.

The R5 side covers give it that serious, TZ look. Believe me when I tell you, these late-afternoon, last minute photos taken when pat dropped by after a 50 mile ride, do the bike no justice at all. We'll have some real photos, with a hot model, as well as a feature article shortly. Stay tuned & keep it on the pipe! |
